Acqua Panna - Get the taste of Tuscany at RedMart

The Italian mineral water Acqua Panna was born in the heart of Tuscany. The reasons for the brand’s success date back to 187 BC, when the consul Flaminio decided to build a road between Florence and Bologna. In 500 BC, the Medici family acquired Panna to use it as a hunting ground, and that is when they realized the purity and special characteristics of Panna's water. In 1926, authorization for bottling water on an industrial scale was obtained, and in 1938, the Bonacossi family founded the Panna company. In 1957, the brand was acquired by San Pellegrino. In 1999, Nestle acquired San Pellegrino and became the owner of the Tuscan mineral water.

Experience 450 years of rich history with Acqua Panna

Acqua Panna water flows for 14 years beneath the rolling hills of Tuscany, a timeless landscape, on its way to the surface. It is bottled near the town of Scarperia in the Mugello valley, close to the source. Every day, more than 500 tests are performed on the water sample to ensure that its unique blend of trace elements, mineral salts, and chemical characteristics remain completely unchanged over time. So, every time you open a bottle, you can be certain of the purity and distinct flavor of the brand’s water.

The brand's visual identity has undergone some changes over the years. For decades, the brand used a logo that featured a lion's head design that was originally part of the water fountain located on the Villa Panna property. In 2014, to celebrate the 450th anniversary of its origins, the brand introduced a new visual identity that showcased its Tuscan heritage to the world. The traditional orange color was kept to maintain recognition and to refer to the typical Tuscan landscape, where this color can be found in the soil and roofs of houses.

The taste of Earth captured in a bottle

Acqua Panna mineral water has low salt content, and since it is non-carbonated, it can be paired with soft, light, and fresh wines. With delicate dishes such as salads, seafood, and fish. This bottled water is alkaline with a pH of 8, which makes it an ideal choice for soft beverages. This is how the brand has become a reference in the world of haute cuisine with its presence in the most acclaimed restaurants.

After all, Acqua has become an emblem of "Made in Italy" and an international vehicle for Tuscany's rich tradition. Today, it is sold in 120 countries, present in all five continents of the world, and annually sells more than 300 million bottles. The brand's mineral water perfectly showcases the Italian lifestyle to the world as a symbol of pleasure, health, and well-being. The mini Acqua Panna 500ml can be your ideal companion whether you are commuting on the subway, or working out at the gym.
