Champagne, the special occasion partner from Redmart

For some people, celebrating the occasion by popping a bottle of Champagne is a way of enjoyment. It empowers your mood of celebrating your happy moments and soothes you whenever needed. Earlier, it was considered a luxury; only used when celebrating special occasions. But now, raising a glass of champagne for a chill evening, cheering to your marriage anniversary, promotion, anything can be accompanied by this liquor. Many families prefer consuming champagne as a regular. Due to its fizzy and acidic nature, it works as an appetizer. It is also termed as a sparkling white wine.

Champagne, for the first time, originated in France. It is grown in areas that have a low temperature. This liquor is famous everywhere by the name "Champagne" except in France. In France, it is known as Champagne. It is a common phrase that all the champagnes are sparkling wines, but not all sparkling wines are champagnes. It has colours ranging from pale gold to pink depending upon the ingredients and preservatives used while preparing it. They are well known for their eccentric flavour and smoothness. All these facts make it a popular drink among liquor lovers.

Making of different varieties of champagnes

Méthode Champenoise is the traditional french method for preparing the best champagne in the world. Firstly, they make wine traditionally. The grapes are collected, pressed and passed through the initial fermentation. Then the yeast and sugar are added to start the second stage of fermentation. That is the main reason why it is fizzy. After this process, the bottles are kept horizontally for at least 15 months of ageing. As the saying goes- the older the liquor, the more hypnotic it is. Afterwards, the dead yeast is removed from the bottle, small quantities of sugar are added according to the dosage. Then the final packing is done and the bottles are sealed by inserting a cork.

There are varieties of champagnes available in the market, like the Brut champagne, Rosé Champagne, Blanc de Noirs Champagne. The Brut champagne is the most common among these. Based on the sweetness of the champagne, it has been divided into various categories. The most common one, available in almost all the liquor shops, are the dry ones. These are also known as the not-sweet ones. It is called the Brut Nature, Extra Brut, or simply Brut. If you want your fizzy drink to be somewhat sweet, you can opt for an extra dry, semi-sec, sec, or doux depending upon the sugar level you desire to consume in your wine. The doux is the sweetest among all the champagnes available. You must agree that all these champagne are worth hunting for!
